Restore Mails
There are six different types of restore targets that can be chosen to restore mails. You can choose to restore the data in .PST or .EML or MBOX format, to the same user mailbox or to a different user mailbox or to a different organization itself.
Choose Restore Option
1. PST Download
This option will let you export the selected mails in .PST format.
You can check the box (below restore description) if you want to enable ‘Email notification’ to download .pst file once .pst restore is successful. By utilizing this option, you can receive email notifications by specify the recipient email ID to which the download link will be sent. The sent link will be active for 5 days.
Note:

The PST download options will be available only if you select Mail level recovery.

The PST export operations can be done parallelly. i.e.; Multiple PST exports can be performed for the same or different backup jobs at the same time.

The Microsoft 365 PST Download supports all Microsoft Outlook Version of 64bit architecture.
2.Restore to the Same User Mailbox
This option will restore the backup data to the same user.
3. Restore to Different Mailbox
This option will let you select the user from the list and restore the backup data to the selected user.
- Select Restore Target: Select the target mailbox to restore the backup data.
4. Download as EML
This option will let you export the selected mails in EML format.
5. Download as MBOX
This option will let you export the selected mails in MBOX format.
6. Restore to Different Organization
This option will let you restore the selected mails to a different organization.
Note: The organization must be added to the BDRSuite Backup Server. You can navigate to Data Sources -> Add M365 Organization.
- Target Organization : All the M365 organizations added to the BDRSuite Backup Server will be listed by selecting the drop-down icon. You can choose the required organization as the target destination.
- Target Mailbox : All the mailbox under the chosen organization will be listed. Choose the desired mailbox and click apply.
Restore Mails based on Time Range
You can choose from the following two options.
- All Mails : You can choose to restore all mails from the selected mailbox.
- Mails within Date Range : You can choose the mails to restore within the Date Range.
Deleted Mails Option
If the data selected for restore contains mails deleted from the source mailbox and retained on the BDRSuite Backup Repository then any of the following options cane be selected;
- Include Deleted Mails: Restores both the selected backup data and deleted emails from the backup repository.
- Skip Deleted Mails: Excludes the deleted emails from the restore process, restoring only the selected backup data.
- Restore Deleted Mails only: Specifically restore only the deleted emails.
Note: ‘Archival Mailbox’ deleted mails restore is not supported in the current version of BDRCloud Server.
